RE: I have a simple question about vampires and religion.
I believe that there a numerous spiritual beings (angels, demons, gods, faeries, etc.), but I do not belive in "God" with a capital G. I believe in an impersonal creative force or divine energy that permeates all living things, but not in an anthropomorphic omniscient, omnipotent supreme being. I believe that ultimately our destinies are in our own hands. Just my two cents
. (BTW, I am speaking as a daemon who exists in the physical form of an energy vampire, and I am sure this fact colors my perceptions about "God".)

RE: I have a simple question about vampires and religion.
Just as GraniteKnighte said: There is no single "God" he is a fairy tale made up to comfort those who need hope
The strength of the vampire is that people will not believe in him.
i'm allso still finding my way here so i'll speak for myself..... I don't belive in god, ... i belive more in reincarnation. Unknowing people are afraid of the "unknown", they need to comfort themselfs with belives to have something to look "forward" to. For example: In the ancient greek time, people didn't knew where thunder came from, where rain came from...they were afraid of it so they made up some "gods" that were responsible for all that and decided to worship them. Now that people know where it all comes from, they aren't afraid anymore. The only thing that people still don't know (and i don't think they'll ever know) is what death brings. So to let people live peacefully , they created "god" to worship-again. Yet... God doesn't allways bring peace... look at Irak, the only thing they know is War. The terrorists want to die for their "god" that will bring them 7 virgins after death...(lolwut? .. i mean...c'mon are you guys serious?!) It's up to every individual -human-vamp-or any creature that can think for themself- to decide if they're going to belive in a "god" or not. EDIT: just wanted to add this: I'm open-minded when it comes to religion. No one is right and no one is wrong. Unless the opposite can be proven. |
