RE: Which Period
My Marc always wore black. He was dark... so dark but... sweet, like bitter chocolate. Think The Three Musketeers but all black, with the longest blackest hair and eyes like midnight. I think perhaps you may have forgotten dear sir but the men back then had layers and laces of their own.... and, as I recall there are tricks for getting out of those satin gowns remarkably quickly if the need arose

RE: Which Period
Ah but my dear Lady Chakira, I was never a rich man back in those days and while my clothing might have been a bit more dashing than most of my standing it did end up costing me an arm and a leg (literally) in the end, it never bodes well to cross a rich man.
And yes I will admit that if the need arises, you can get out of a gown fairly quickly but if they are wearing a full underdress and stays well, it could take all of 10 minutes and when time is of the essense. Or maybe it was just those ladies that I was courting back then. Of course there was one certain dairy maid I have fond memories of, but you can ask her about it, I know she fully recalls that era...wonder why she is being so quiet about it all. DW |

RE: Which Period
Almost everyone including myself in my community are very much into the modern styles, a lot of us do modeling on the side, it just comes with the territory

RE: Which Period
I agree Chakira, as much as I am glad I had the chance to love with my soul sometimes I feel that my loss is all the more amplified beacuase of that.

RE: Which Period
I've always loved frilly and lacy clothes regardless of the period they belong to but at the same time there is something about simple working clothes that I like.
As for not mentioning what has gone before, I might just do that should the topic ever arise, and its not all roses you know. |
