Who do you think is the 'best' hero (or anti hero) from vampyre, were or any other kin films You can take into account any one from any book and you can define 'best' in any way you like but you have to have a reason for your choice.
Who do you think is the 'best' villain from vampyre, were or any other kin literature. You can take into account any one from any book and you can define 'best' in any way you like but you have to have a reason for your choice.
OK so I got fed up of typing it and put both in one thread here.
Hero.....sorry it still has to be Lestat....and not only because he was played by Tom Cruise. Again, he is the epitome of the dashing anti hero. He neither hides nor apologises for what he is, he is true to his nature but he has honour and in his own way he cares.
Villain...Dracula in Van Helsing....because he is just fantastic. He has no feelings and he is totally ruthless but he has such style.
I like Akasha as a Villain. She wants to rid the world of 90% of the male population... What could be wrong with that? She stands tall in her convictions and she never lets herself be dissuaded. Even her love for her children didn't cloud her view for the world. I love her optimism that her plan would work... And yups, Lestat... He's so dreamy. I love that he wants the world to know him... I feel like Lestat a lot so I could really relate to him.
Both good choices. I'd have to haver Lestat as the best hero. And as for the villian... I'd have to go with akasha, Shes brilliant lol.
i wouldnt s Lestat is a hero, his just out to do whats best for him and in doing that he ends up helping others, i dont think he plans too.
ermm best hero would be Mick st john, private eye or Angel the all round goody goody.
for a villian, i guess it would have to be the evil russian vampires in Daywatch, destroying everything with ping pong balls of doom

classic...
oo actualy on that note, i picked up the third installment in the series, twilight watch

OOH Im going to have to borrow/steal that from you Terri
I don't think Yagor is a vampire though exactly. Some other type of other maybe lol
And its random Christmas decroation not a ping pong ball lol
lol well still a little ball shaped object distroying stuff
to be honest i think in this day and age, dracular has been surpast as the fearful vampire he once was. the people of today want more from a villan then just a traveling toff romancing peoples wives in the dead of the night. the story will always be a classic and will stand as that for all of time, but it doesnt pack a punch anymore. even the old christopher lee movies dont chill anyone anymore.
You have raised an intersting point Terri.... what is a hero? Is it an 'all round goody goody' or just someone who does their own thing helping others along the way?
I think that a lot of heroes are of the second kind... not going out there to be brave or to help others as such but just kind of end up doing it.
I think that the truest hero, in fiction or in life, is the one who is scared out of their mind but do what they have to do anyway just because is isnt in them to walk away.
What do you think?
Chakira
oh i agree, but finding a hero like that in todays world is fairly slim, most people are out for there own gain.
i would class a hero as someone who you can look up to, for any reason.
Sigh.... so very true but a girl can dream, even when dreams are all she has..... sigh
Edited to say ... any comment on the use of the term 'girl' HM and I'll slap you.
I don't know what you mean........ the word fits perfectly and wouldn't even consider making comments about your age!!
