I would like to know who you think is the best actor to ever play Dracula or any Vampire. Mine is Frank Langella in the 79 version of Dracula, he is dark, sexy and mysterious! Very cute indeed!

I think Gary Oldman did a good job as the young prince, but he was a bit strange as the old Count. The Dracula charactor in the book is a hugely complex charactor and would be difficult to play by any actor so to do it to a good standard is a real achievement.

Brad Pitt played a very good vampyre for a 'Hollywood' actor, he was moody, thoughtfull, deep and dark. The makeup was spot on as well, subtle veins running down his face and the pale, dilated eyes.

Never seen a Dracular movie, well except Dracula: Dead and Loving It with Leslie Nielsen!

Wait a mo, no, I vote for David Jason as the Voice of Count Duckula

For me, it goes with the classics, American Bela Lugosi and Brit Christopher Lee are the ultimate in Dracula.

Having said that, Gary Oldman was given EVERYTHING to play The Count in Bram Stoker's so he couldn't really fail.

Christopher Lee is definitely one of the greats although I think he has acted better in other roles i.e. Gormenghast and LOTR. He is one of my all time great actors and have his autograph (although I got it on eBay not in person)

Gormenghast is a classic that was sadly brutalized by critics. I have watched it two or three times and still find it most enjoyable.

bela lugosi was very good in that movie, but as an anne rice fan, i must go with stuart townsend in the queen of the damned. he was so much better than tom cruise (sorry tom, i still love you!

Oh, Stuart Townsend was TEN times better than Tom cruise as Lestat...but I have a thing for Welsey Snipes in Blade. He was the most powerful looking actor ever to play a vampire yet, although he wouldn't really have fit in too well as an Anne Rice vampire, or good-old Dracula now would he?

I have to agree. Wesley Snipes was awesome. But you gotta love the classics..Bela Legosi was the best.
